Trauma-Informed Yoga: Moving Through What the Body Holds

Many of us carry experiences that have shaped how safe we feel in our bodies. Trauma-informed yoga is a gentle invitation to reconnect with yourself. It is not about pushing through pain or forcing stillness. It is about moving slowly, noticing what feels supportive, and allowing your body to lead the way.

This practice creates space for awareness and compassion. You learn to listen inward and respond with care and consideration. Some days you may want to rest in stillness. Other days, you might feel ready to move and breathe more deeply. Both choices are valid.
Infusing autonomy and choice in every class is very important to me. You will never be touched without consent. You will never be told what your body should feel. The intention is to create an environment that feels safe enough for you to explore, release, and rebuild trust within yourself.
Healing does not happen on a timeline. It happens when you feel safe enough to begin again. With time and breath, your body remembers what peace can feel like.
