TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Scope of Services
Habitual Care provides holistic, non-medical services including birth and postpartum doula support, trauma-informed yoga instruction, and breathwork facilitation. These services are intended to provide emotional, physical, and educational support, not medical treatment.
2. Non-Medical Nature of Services
Habitual Care does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or perform clinical tasks. Services are not a substitute for medical care. Clients must consult with a licensed healthcare provider before participating, particularly if pregnant, postpartum, or managing health conditions.
3. Eligibility for Services
Clients must be 18 years of age or older or have written parental/guardian consent. Clients affirm they are mentally, physically, and emotionally capable of participating and accept full responsibility for their health.
4. Payment & Refund Policy
All services must be paid in full at time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Habitual Care accepts Medi-Cal for approved doula services only. All other services are out-of-pocket. Packages must be used within six (6) months of purchase. Cancellations within 24 hours may result in a $25 fee or forfeiture of session.
5. Confidentiality & Privacy
All personal information shared with Habitual Care is kept confidential and will not be disclosed unless required by law or with written consent. Sessions are conducted with respect and privacy.
6. Consent to Touch
Touch may be used in-person for comfort or guidance. Consent will be obtained in advance and can be withdrawn at any time. Clients are encouraged to voice their comfort level at all times.
7. Client Responsibility & Assumption of Risk
Clients voluntarily participate in all services and accept all associated risks. Clients agree to hold harmless and indemnify Habitual Care and its practitioners from all liability, claims, or legal actions arising from participation.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Habitual Care are proprietary and may not be copied, distributed, or reused without written consent.
9. Right to Refuse Service
Habitual Care reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services due to inappropriate conduct, harassment, or non-compliance with boundaries or payment policies.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
