Stress shows up in our bodies in more ways than we often realize. From tight shoulders and shallow breathing to racing thoughts and restless sleep, daily pressures can weigh heavily. Breathwork offers a natural, accessible path to relief.

What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is the practice of intentionally using the breath to influence how you feel. It can calm the nervous system, release emotional tension, and create more awareness. Unlike meditation, which can feel intimidating for beginners, breathwork gives you something simple to focus on, your breath.
The Science of Stress and Breathing
When we’re stressed, our breathing becomes shallow and rapid. This tells the body we’re in “fight or flight” mode. By slowing down and deepening the breath, we activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the body’s natural calming response).
Benefits of Breathwork for Stress
Reduces cortisol levels (the stress hormone)
Supports better sleep
Improves emotional regulation
Provides an immediate tool for grounding
How to Get Started
Start small. Try five minutes of deep belly breathing before bed. Or practice “box breathing”: inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Over time, these practices help shift your baseline stress response.
